72 hours of Acclimation period is required
BEFORE the installation of "ALSTON" brand flooring, the Installer/Owner must meet or exceed the minimum requirements as to the preparation of the Job Site environments and the Installation of the Sub-surfaces involved. ALSTON INC. cannot be held liable for job failures associated to, or as a direct result of sub-surface or job site environment deficiencies. Acclimation: Solid wood flooring is for installation on or above Ground level only. Engineered Flooring can be installed at any level. It is very important that the flooring be allowed to acclimate for at least 72 hours before installation at the installation site to allow the planks to adapt to the temperature and moisture content of their new environment. Simply stack the bundles of flooring inside the job-site in a way that they will be protected from draft and moisture. Relative humidity range of 35-55% needs to be kept at the job site. Permanent heat above 60 F should be available to both floor and sub-floor during this time of acclimation. |
